The goal of the customer success internship is to promote support as a career by marrying together soft and technical skills. It will focus on the experience of being the hub of a company, and becoming project managers in a different sense than the standard definition.

Basic requirements for applying:

Applicants should be strong communicators with an attention to detail and a drive to work with customers who are primarily developers. Those who succeed tend to have an inquisitive nature and enjoy problem solving. Experience using and/or managing community forums is a plus.

What the intern will gain from this experience:

The Customer Success team is a hub of Spreedly that not only supports and advocates for the customers of its API product but also works directly with marketing, data science, customer engineering, internal tools, product and sales. The intern will gain first-hand experience at a software startup in the financial technology industry, contributing to projects that align with the company’s objectives that also benefit customers and the Success team.

The intern’s goal is to become an expert in customer success best practices while being exposed to many facets of a SaaS company. This will be achieved through a balance of frontline support for a technical product and participation in strategic initiatives. Focuses may include lead nurturing, customer on-boarding, education and self-service, and maintaining a help desk and community forum. Other goals include maintaining high customer satisfaction scores, gaining the ability to recognize trends that result in automation or process improvement and becoming comfortable searching and reading code.

Each member of Spreedly’s team comes from a unique educational background. (Environmental Science? Yeah. Economics? Yup!) This internship can provide great experience for those focusing on communication, business, marketing, computer science and many more.

Here are some tools Spreedly uses on a daily basis: Zendesk, Slack, Hubspot, Github, Dropbox Paper, Trello.
