What if you had access to thousands and millions of tidbits of government and public health data? Medicare records, restaurant inspections, substance abuse and mental health data, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stats.

What could you create that bettered a city or state or nation, and its residents? And how might you build a company around that creation?

Attendees of this weekend's Triangle Startup Weekend: Health DataJam and this summer's NC DataPalooza will get a chance to answer those questions and meet other like-minded entrepreneurs, developers and inventors interested in healthcare. This weekend marks the kickoff of one of the region's biggest community-wide innovation efforts. Organizers created this video based on a similar event in Minnesota, but stay tuned for ExitEvent coverage of the ideas and products created when these innovators come together.

Curious and want to attend? You can still sign up here. The event kicks off Friday night at 6 p.m. at HQ Raleigh and wraps up Sunday night.
