At ExitEvent, we want you up on all the topics trending and news happening in the Triangle, so here's a feature we run after each month ends recapping the most popular 10 stories and posts (and one video) on our site. They're ranked below based on page views counted by Google Analytics.
It seems everyone was intrigued by Sqord's plans to move to the Northwest to take advantage of growth and funding there. ExitEvent broke two top-ranking stories last month: news that Automated Insights will be acquired and HQ Raleigh will expand. We did a deep dive into Google Fiber in the Triangle, and gave the compelling back story to the ReverbNation spinout AdWerx. A year-end story about the growth of Wilmington's startup community rounded out the 10, as well as Lizzy Hazeltine's first column on her new role as a woman and first-timer in venture capital. Check out the full list below.
Laura Baverman manages the day-to-day at ExitEvent, writing and editing stories, lining up contributors and representing us in the community. She also works as a USA Today columnist, writing the Startups and Entrepreneurs column every other week in print and online. Laura has spent a decade in journalism, most of those years as a business reporter in her hometown Cincinnati. Her Ohio roots run deep, but she's learning to love the South. Especially sun, all months of the year.
