This is the first in a series of pieces we'll publish about the speakers at the inaugural SalesJam event we're hosting with RevBoss August 25. More details to come, but sign up for updates here

Brendan Morrissey had plenty of experience working in tech and at startups by the time he launched Netsertive in 2009. But it was his first time as CEO and founder, and that meant plenty of learning along the way to last year's $24 million series C round, led by Raleigh investor River Cities Capital Funds.

Now Morrissey (on the right) is growing the team of 200+ and boosting sales and marketing efforts with hopes of adding more national brands with local affiliates or franchises to its roster of customers. He's doing it alongside new board member Rik Vandevenne (middle) of River Cities. More advice on scaling a startup, attracting investors, growing sales and prepping for exit in our recent interview during American Underground's HelpFest.
